During the middle ages, Córdoba was a Moorish capital with a thriving Jewish population. While the rest of Europe lay in the dark, this splendid mecca of art and culture flourished, forging lasting links between east and west. During the 10th Century, it was known as an oasis of advanced civilization where scholars, poets, doctors, philosophers and mystics (many of them Jews) lived. Today the judería offers a peek back in time to Cordoba's golden age.

The Sephardic Córdoba Guided Tour shows you how this once-thriving capital and center of government was also a melting pot of Christian, Muslim and Jewish culture. Today it is easy to get to Córdoba on the high-speed train from either Madrid or Sevilla, making a guided tour through the fantastic Sephardic center, 14th-century synagogue and extensive judería (Jewish quarter) just a couple of hours away.
