Perhaps Spain's most cosmopolitan city, Barcelona is a mix of old and new, traditional and avant-garde. Our Cruise Excursion to Barcelona is a driving tour that includes a chauffer and local guide. This offers the perfect way to see the city as the driver will drop off you and the guide for selected sites, visits, and views and will then pick you up to continue on your journey. Included with this tour are tickets and a visit to the amazing Sagrada Familia. Discover the beauty of Barcelona by driving through Eixample, Ramblas, the Port, Montjuic and continuing Parque Guell. This tour offers a very exclusive way of seeing the highlights of Barcelona, beginning with your pick-up at the port.

Here you can marvel at the works of Gaudí, stroll along Las Ramblas, take in some tapas or relax on the beach. Check out the columns at Mount Taber or the underground city of Barcino to see Barcelona's Roman legacy, going back two thousand years. As a contrast, the modernism movement that characterizes Barcelona provides some of the best examples Art Nouveau architecture. "Angel, in Barcelona was a great guide. He tailored our time with him to our questions and requests and it was wonderful. We started with a view of the city from the restaurant at the top of El Corte Ingles. From there we walked to the Gaudi sites nearby and he was able to show us how to get the inside views that are open to the public without paying for the tours (long lines and quite expensive - an option for us on our own later but too time consuming for our tour with him). We enjoyed his descriptions and information on how the city was designed and built. He gave us a true insight as to how and why Barcelona is designed as it is - a wonderful concept that is clear once one understands how it was meant to work. We rode the subway down to the old part of the city and he toured us through the old narrow, winding streets and included the tourist office buried in there where you can see parts of the original Roman city. He gave us a delightful, personalized orientation that left us ready to explore on our own with enough knowledge to understand what we were seeing, where to go, and how to get around."  --Shelly, Maryland, March 2008
